Carl D. Perkins Career and Technology Education Consortium

This shared services arrangement assists participating members with educational services for Career and Technical Education (CTE) students and potential CTE students in grades 7 through 12. Utilizing federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education funds, the consortium offers the following services:
- Career interest and aptitude assessments (8th grade EXPLORE test)
- Career guidance and counseling services
- College and career information resources and planning materials
- Activities to facilitate transition from school to post-secondary training/career opportunities
- Professional development for CTE teachers, counselors and administrators
- Assistance in implementing career clusters and Achieve Texas
- Assistance in the integration of academic and CTE courses
- Assistance in preparation for district compliance/accountability reviews
- Assistance in CTE-related needs assessment, program evaluation, and planning
