The Personnel Services Cooperative is designed to identify qualified personnel for all certified professional positions, excluding the position of Superintendent, and to facilitate employment by member districts and charter schools through recruitment and referral activities. Referral activities begin with the school notifying the Personnel Services office of their vacancy. The vacancy is posted at Region 9, other ESCs, teacher preparation universities, and on the Region 9 Web Site. An extensive database of qualified teacher and administrator candidates is available and updated on a regular basis. The primary service requires the Personnel Services staff to search the database for candidates that match the vacancy and forward the information to the district for further action. Criminal history checks are available through a contract with DCS Information Systems. Please visit Personnel Services web site for additional information about this service.
