Thinking Maps® is a powerful research-based instructional strategy that provides teachers and students with a common visual language that helps them transfer thinking processes, integrate learning, and assess progress.  Region 9 offers Thinking Maps: Tools for Learning® day one training at the Education Service Center or in your district. In addition, Region 9 offers an exciting, summer Thinking Maps® Extravaganza that offers teachers up to 18 half-day sessions targeted to specific content areas and creative applications of the 8 maps.

Region 9 also offers training in Thinking Maps® “Write…From the Beginning (elementary) and Write…For the Future (secondary) comprehensive writing programs that are based on the 8 Thinking Maps®.

For schools new to the Thinking Maps® program, Shelby Waller offers an administrative training that outlines strategies for successful implementation of the program and meaningful follow-up assistance.
