Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities

This program offers consultative and technical assistance to administrators and teachers of preschool programs for children with disabilities (ages 0-5 years). This includes training and services in the following areas: instruction, curriculum, classroom management, teaching materials, early childhood outcomes, and parent education. Preschool program personnel promote public awareness of special services available to children with disabilities. The program also provides assistance in screening and assessment for children with disabilities from 0-5 years of age through both consultative and direct services. The preschool program staff provides coordination of interagency services including interface with the Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECI).
