Region 9 is pleased to offer training and technical assistance to special education personnel and their supervisors in areas including, but not limited to:

• Legal updates and legal compliance in the area of evaluation
• Current best practices in the field of special education evaluation and report writing
• Training on new evaluation instruments
• Research-based recommendations resulting from evaluation results 
• Writing Impact Statements
• Linking FIE data to PLAAFPs, IEPs, and classroom instruction
• Evaluation considerations and requirements for students with varied socio-economic status, cultural backgrounds, and/or linguistic experience
• Communicating evaluation results and recommendations effectively to parents, school personnel, and/or ARD committees
