Visually Impaired Program

The VI program supports educational services for registered students with visual impairments. These services include direct student instruction in orientation and mobility, mentoring of new VI teachers, student consultation, technical assistance, and professional development to educators and parents of students with visual impairments. This program coordinates with Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI), Stephen F. Austin University, and Texas Tech University to provide VI Certification.  Assistance with the selection and coordination of the purchase of instructional materials and equipment is provided. Technology updates and adaptation of materials are provided under this program.
