ESC Region 9 Partners with Teachers of Tomorrow to Expand Teacher Certification Pathways

Region 9 Education Service Center is partnering with Teachers of Tomorrow to expand access to flexible teacher certification pathways and support future educators from enrollment through certification.
The partnership connects aspiring teachers with a TEA-approved and AAQEP-accredited alternative certification program designed to prepare classroom-ready educators for high-need schools and districts across Texas.
Teachers of Tomorrow has certified more than 90,000 teachers and has been a presence in Texas for more than 16 years. The program serves more than 3,100 districts statewide and focuses on helping schools fill vacancies faster while maintaining high standards for educator preparation.
Through the partnership, candidates can complete online, on-demand training while working toward certification. Participants receive certification test preparation, classroom readiness training, and support from dedicated field supervisors throughout the process.
The certification pathway begins with an application and transcript submission before candidates enroll in the Texas Teachers of Tomorrow program. From there, candidates complete classroom readiness training, certification exam preparation, classroom observations, and state-required testing. Once eligible, participants can begin teaching with full pay and benefits while continuing coursework and completing final certification requirements.
