Title IV, Part A - Student Support and Academic Enrichment
Title IV, Part A, also known as the Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) program, is a federal grant program authorized under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The program provides funding to help schools and districts create supportive learning environments and improve educational opportunities for all students.
Title IV, Part A focuses on three key areas:
- Well-Rounded Education: Expanding access to educational opportunities that support student achievement and success.
- Safe and Healthy Students: Promoting positive school climates and safe, healthy learning environments that support students' physical, social, and emotional well-being.
- Effective Use of Technology: Supporting the meaningful integration of technology to enhance instruction, improve academic achievement, and strengthen digital literacy.
Through guidance, resources, and technical assistance, Region 9 ESC supports districts in implementing Title IV, Part A programs that address local needs and promote student success.
